in Electrical Engineering

With liberalisation of Indian economy, the industries have to now fight it out in the highly competitive global market place. Only the fittest and finest will survive. Those who deliver state of the art products made with state of the art technologies will successfully exist. But in this highly volatile environment, the one thing that remains unchanged is the requirement of highly trained competent manpower.

Companies that invest in training their manpower will be able to challenge the established players more effectively.
The three stages in this evolutionary process from information to wisdom are :

1) Uncorrelated information is data  2) Processed data is knowledge and   3) Distilled knowledge is wisdom

The Advent of computers, with their enormous processing power and use of high speed communication networks have facilitated mastering completely the Stage 1 and partially Stage 2 listed above. But the global challenger is the one who has mastered the Stages 2 and 3. No amount of spending on technology without a concerted effort to train the manpower will enable mastering the last two stages. The short-term courses offered by Power System Consultants (PSC), targeted to plant engineers, are intended to pierce a practical depth in the concerned technical subjects. These courses are intended to develop the skills required to understand and appreciate the design criteria, operational problems and their solutions in the power industry
